Functional Rhinoplasty Surgery: Twisted Nose
Revision Rhinoplasty Surgey

Rhinoplasty Oblique View
Notice here on the oblique view that the nasal dorsum has a large bump followed by a large depression of the septum.  This depression is called a saddle nose deformity and can happen from over-aggressive previous surgery and/or trauma.  As you can see afterward, we have re-supported the nasal dorsum and also reshaped her nostrils to improve her airway.

Rhinoplasty Frontal View
From the frontal view she had a very twisted tip and it is hard to see exactly where the major improvement has been; however as you can see, the tip has a very narrow pointy area before surgery and following this there was a depression.  That depression has been filled in as the septum has been supported where the saddle nose deformity was.  This has definitely not untwisted her tip completely but re-supporting her septum made significant improvements to her airway and has improved her nose overall.

Rhinoplasty Side View
From the side view the combination if building up her saddle nose, as well as taking down her bump, shows that in revision nasal surgery, as well as posttraumatic nasal surgery, it is not just a combination of reduction rhinoplasty but also support of the septum that accomplishes a nice profile.

Rhinoplasty Basal View
From the basal view you can see her nostrils are significantly more open; however clearly they are still not symmetric.  You can see, however, that part of the issue has to do with the length of her nose on the right side compared to the length on the left side, which limits our ability to make it completely symmetric.  Still, the nose is much more open and breathes better and is an overall improvement.
